Jeremy
Jeremy is a 6-year-old boy who just can't seem to sit still. He gets in trouble in his classroom and on the school bus. He tears around the yard at home and adults get worn out just looking at him. The only time Jeremy relaxes is when he's watching a video or when he's asleep!
Jeremy was diagnosed at a young age with predominantly hyperactive/impulsive ADHD.

Daniel
Daniel is a 7-year-old boy who gets easily distracted in the classroom, which makes it difficult for him to concentrate on his schoolwork. He is having particular difficulty with learning to read, even though he has above average intelligence for a child of his age.
Daniel's problems cause him a lot of anxiety, which has sometimes been misread as bad behaviour. People expected that he would learn to read quickly, and he feels upset that he is getting left behind. He is embarrassed when asked to read aloud in the classroom and often complains of headaches in order to avoid going to school. His anxiety levels are increasing every week.
Daniel has just been diagnosed with ADHD, as well as comorbid dyslexia and anxiety. His parents, teachers, school counsellor, doctor and other health professionals will be meeting next week to formulate a treatment plan for Daniel.

Megan
Megan is 15 years old. Her teachers say that she's 'away with the fairies'. She tries hard to concentrate but it's difficult with so many classmates around her. Every time someone coughs or whispers she forgets where she was up to and has to start again. Megan works better with her tutor after school, because there's no-one else there and her tutor gives her lots of short activities, which helps her to keep concentrating.
Megan was diagnosed at age 9 with the predominantly inattentive type of ADHD.
